Tomtheman2
Quite confused about fitment etc, I want phat rims and slammed to the ground but am confused about what fitment etc I need. How can you work out what width etc you need until you put the wheel on the car and see what it fits like?I know thats the most nooby question out but just need a push in the right direction.I have some Momo torque 16" rims on there at the moment but I want a dishyer rim. The V will be dropped on coilies and I will roll the arches. Can anyone help with any of my questions.I like the look of these but dont know if they will fit. http://www.wheel-whores.com/classifieds/sh...-g60s&cat=4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This is what my car looks like atm, This is what I want it to kinda end up like,Thanks,

Josh@TunerLifestyle
Its a difficult thing to do on a starlet mate! I've got 15x8 et 0 alloys on my car and they are too wide to be dropped cuz the wheels are wider than the wings lol so id say if you wanted it slammed id say go for something like 15x8 et 25 or 15x7 et 10 if you can find them lol, look at idrees , mine or dean rw developments build threads, hope this helps! Also you defo need your arches rolled! TrisK
im planning to do with my 37s, eventualy swapping to some bbs rsboth have +35 offset, but im gonna space them out by like 15mm . make more sense to do it that way to me, as you can then space it out, and move it by getting differnent size spacers

birdmandan
This is a wise comment lol! My rota cup are 16x8 et 25 And they are still a paiun in the arse to get low on! My advice is just stick with the norm and get wheels that fit

TrisK
they is a white mk1 polo that is mental, cant find the pics right now though...
Idrees
Don't go too low with the offset or you may struggle a little. I have ET10 on the ID-Workz Glanza and there is plenty of work to be done to have the rear arches perfect yet. I have fitted wider front wings so the front wheels sit perfectly without any further modification to the arch.
Glanza_cl
tbh the starlets are shit for going low... unless you like wheels tucked in your arches get a different car.you could if you really wanted to persist with a starlet get overfenders, cut the inner arch so you dont scrub... that would allow you to get a low offset wheel i.e ET0 in there without to many issues.but belive me it isnt as easy as getting coilovers and some 'phat' rims.P.S. Banded steelies suck balls!
Bluebear
they is a white mk1 polo that is mental, cant find the pics right now though...I've seen a white Mk1 Golf who had stupid camber wheels before, he now has a bosozuku style sharknose and exhausts on it, its lols. Josh@TunerLifestyle
trust me having low offset alloys is a pain! my steering rack now has a clunk to it! every time i hit a big pothole the wheel hits the arch and so on and so on lol must say that car dose look sexy though! same wheels as idrees's
Dean @RW-Developments
ye low offset wheels are a night mare mine eats wheel bearings, bottom ball joints etc
BearFaceOfDoom
In all honesty to truly run a proper HellaFlush ride, and I'm talking REAL Hellaflush (Not just gettin the wheels close enough and calling it a day) You need to live in a different country Too many people have tried it and just ended up knackering their cars because as soon as you hit a pothole your cars bottomed out. True hellaflush your talking a cats cock hair distance between the arch and the tyre wall and subsequently just about the same from the skirts to the floor and on our roads that ain't happening You also wont be able to put your foot down anywhere and your car will handle like poo with it having wayy too much negative camber (to fit a nice wide set of rims) And havin a good blast is the spirit of what these cars are all about Please don't take my ranting the wrong way because I love it just as much as the next guy and thought about it myself before I even got my Glanza. True HellaFlush rides are absolute pornnn!!! But I think I'll be leaving this one to the yanks with their wonderfully flat straight roads.... Bastards! haha I personally would say if you wanna do it that your best off with 8inch wide wheels with a low offset and a whole lot of stretch, rolling the arches, cutting the inner arch out and then use appropriate sized spacers (if necessary) to get it "flush" and then spend a hell of a lot of time perfecting the stance with the camber and height adjustment of your coilovers. BearFaceOfDoom
And those banded steelies cam off my mates VR6 Golf Estate and he sold them for what he payed for them and it seems the guy selling them now is trying to make a silly amount of profit on them
Dan507
I don't understand why would want hellaflush on a starletWith having a live rear axle on the rear it just won't work. Just buy a usdm civic
D3N0
Lol at some of the comments, it really isnt that bad a deal going "hellaflush". Its obvious that some have taken the quick trial and error and got it wrong. The choice of wheel fitment/offset depents on how yo want it to fit. For instance, indrees opt'd for 16x8 et10 wheels which results look great and are slightly further out than my setup so to speak. Which is the reason why his choice of tires are 195 45 r16, it'll make the car look great and stretch may be enough to clear after a rear arch roll. My setup being 16x8 ET20 leaves the rim closer to the coilover, but not as stuck out as his. My tire choice for the front is 225 40 r16 and fits fine with out any bother. The rear is the only issue, due to the way it moves under operation is may tend to come down and move close to the drivers side arch. also most people run meister coilovers, which although its default settings and spring rates are great for the average glanza or starlet, a more tailored setup is required for it all to come together nicely. as most wheels of choice will be wide (i hope no wider than 8j), you need to get the whiteline anti roll bar mostle for the rear. As said, with the right setup you will have no problems and your car will look great. Nothin comes easy, i for one dont know how some peepal have gone to (0 offset), they must be un bareable to drive. be smart, o properly.
Dean @RW-Developments
0 offset un bareable to drive...... nah
N80Jamie
@ Tomtheman2is this the type of fitment you are after???looks sexy as dont it Thats exactly what im after! How would i go about doing this? It doesn't seem as extreme as most 'Hella Flush' cars
